Matt Mitchell

With over 22 years in the NHS and private healthcare, coupled with a decade in consulting, Matt Mitchell is a seasoned professional in bid management and strategy development. His career began in breast cancer research and evolved through various roles in audit, governance, and business development. Matt has worked on over 200 bids in the last 10 years, securing several business-critical contracts, including a staggering £1.064 billion win. His expertise spans multiple sectors, including Healthcare, FM, Recruitment, Defence, and IT.

Matt's approach at BidVantage is rooted in a deep understanding of what it takes to win. He values honesty, hard work, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. These principles guide his interactions with clients, whether he's involved in demand and capacity modelling, strategy development, or solution engineering. His accomplishments include quadrupling sales for an Advisory company in just one year and maintaining a two-year win streak.

Outside the professional sphere, Matt is a man of varied interests. He's an avid golfer and rugby fan, enjoys good food and drink, and is committed to supporting local community projects. His well-rounded personality complements his professional expertise, making him a valuable asset to the BidVantage team.

Chris Williams

Chris Williams

With over 16 years in Public Sector Procurement and an additional 4 years in consulting, Chris Williams is a seasoned expert whose experience spans Central Government, NHS, Social Housing, and Local Authorities. He has held various buying roles in organisations such as NHS Supply Chain and Crown Commercial Service, managing complex procurement processes and overseeing budgets up to £2 billion. His consulting experience extends to Procurement, Bid Management, and Net Zero initiatives.

Chris's accomplishments speak volumes about his expertise and dedication. He has supported clients in securing places on national IT frameworks worth billions and has driven significant client spend through strategic advice. His approach at BidVantage is underpinned by a 'can-do' attitude, always focusing on customer outcomes and structured planning.

Outside of his professional commitments, Chris is an active individual who enjoys coaching a kids' U8 football team. He's also a fitness enthusiast, setting personal challenges like running half marathons, cycling, and enjoying the great outdoors.

Rob Ward

Robert Ward

With over 15 years of experience in Bid Writing, Rob Ward is a highly-regarded expert in the industry. His career began in health and social care, where he worked for a mix of NHS trusts, private providers, and the third sector. Over the past 5 years, Rob has transitioned into consultancy, applying his expertise across a wide range of sectors including IT, FM, and construction. His track record is impressive, having worked on over 250 bids with an 85% win rate. His biggest win was a £1 billion community health services contract, but he takes equal pride in helping SMEs secure contracts worth £100k.

Rob's approach at BidVantage is meticulous and client-focused. He's committed to meeting deadlines and crafting the most compelling bid answers possible. Over the last three years, he has honed his expertise in social value, helping many clients achieve perfect scores on social value bid questions. His principles include understanding the client's unique approaches and benefits, and being proactive with ideas and suggestions.

On a personal note, Rob hails from Bristol but moved to Perth Western Australia in 2019, giving BidVantage an international edge. He's an Arsenal fan, a cricket obsessive, and an avid reader and gamer. His diverse interests and international perspective make him a unique and valuable asset to the BidVantage team.

    With over 15 years of rich experience in bidding, Katrina brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise, particularly in the health and social care industries. She has a proven track record of navigating complex bidding processes successfully, which has been instrumental in driving significant growth for the businesses she has supported.

  • Charlotte Goode-Bond

    HEALTHCARE EXPERT

    Charlie is our healthcare expert and has over 20 years of experience in the NHS and private healthcare. She is still a Qualified Registered Adults Nurse, Health Visitor and Non-Medical Prescriber. She has hands-on and managerial experience of multiple services, including emergency, planned and unplanned care, as well as forensic and mental health services.

  • Richard Bailey

    FINANCIAL MODELLER

    Richard has over 20-years experience of advising and working with blue chip companies. He is a seasoned management consultant having been an associate partner at EY and a serving 13 years at PA Consulting Group. As well as being our Financial Modeller, Richard also has expertise in developing strategies, business development, data analytics, and project management.
